The Pastor Strong 5k Hunger Run is win/win/win opportunity. We are encouraging pastors to grow stronger physically, mentally & spiritually. (That a win!) All proceeds support San Antonio food pantries. To date, almost $500,000 has been raised. (That a win/win!) Generous donations have also made it possible for us to award tons of gift cards for the top 3 finishers in each age group. (That a win/win/win!) I can't wait to run this! It will be my first race since the world shut down. Let's go!!!
It was clear that the race organizers were at the top of their game when it came to setting up quickly. I enjoyed the early start so there was no need to wait long before race time. The music was enjoyable and everyone was upbeat throughout the entire event. The course was well marked. Even slippery places were marked so there were no surprises along the route. There were plenty of drinks in the form of hot coffee and water, there were fruit cups and lots and lots of tacos for before and after the race. It was competitive yet festive and it all went to assist the Food Bank(the true winner for the day). The Results were immediate thanks to Redemption Race Productions. All you had to do was walk up to their trailer results wall, input your BIB number into the keypad and BAM it would show you how you ranked both overall and in your age category. I would definitely do this race again and I would recommend it to others who would like a well-run, festive, picturesque race through nature:) Sincerely, Oscar R. Castaneda
