As part of the Barrio Fest Festival, the Fort Stockton Lucha Libre Carrera 5K is one of the most exciting community events of the year! Whether you're racing for a personal best, walking with family and friends, competing as part of a relay team, or showing off your best luchador costume, there's a championship waiting for you!

Kids' Lap: 8:00 AM  5K Run/Walk: 8:30 AM  5K 3-Person Relay: 8:30 AM

Kids' Lap: Ages 12 & Under. Only 0.70 miles  A fun opportunity for our youngest luchadores to join the action!

5K RUN/WALK Age Groups:

• 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70 & Over. 

Run it. Walk it. Race it. Have fun with it!

5K 3-PERSON RELAY  Any Age.

Grab two teammates and take on the challenge together!

Each team will consist of three participants.

Overall Awards: Overall Male and Female

Kid's Lap Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place – Ages 12 & Under

5K Individual Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in each listed age group

5K Relay Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place 3-Person Relay Teams

LUCHA LIBRE COSTUME CONTEST

Bring the excitement! Put on your best luchador-inspired costume and show off your championship style. Costume contest details and judging information will be announced before race day.

PACKET PICKUP & LATE REGISTRATION

Location: James Rooney Park - Pit #4

Race Morning: 7:15 AM – 7:45 AM

Pick up your race packet, get ready to compete, and head to the starting line!

Pro Tip: Arrive early to avoid the race-day rush and give yourself plenty of time to park, pick up your packet, and get ready.

Late Registration: Latecomers are welcome! Bring your friends and register online.

RACE DAY DETAILS

Chip-Timed Event: Every second counts! The 5K and relay events will be professionally chip-timed for accurate results.

Bib Requirement: Your race bib must be clearly visible and worn on the front of your shirt or outermost garment. Do not fold, cut, or alter your bib, as this may interfere with timing.

Start & Finish

Location: James Rooney Park - Pit #4

Additional race-day instructions and course information will be provided before the event.

Water Station

Hydration will be available along the course. Please review the race map and event information for water station locations.

Parking: Parking information will be announced before race day.

REFUND POLICY

No refunds will be issued for this event. By registering, participants acknowledge and agree to this policy.

EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY

If the Fort Stockton Lucha Libre Carrera 5K is canceled due to circumstances beyond the control of the Race Director or event organizers—including, but not limited to, inclement weather, unsafe conditions, or local, state, or national emergencies—refunds will not be provided.

If the event is canceled, race packets, including race shirts when applicable, will be made available for pickup at a designated location whenever reasonably possible.
