BASIS Shavano Boosters 5k Race Description

Join us for the inaugural BASIS Shavano Boosters 5k as we run (or walk) our way through beautiful McAllister Park.  We will have yoga beginning at 8 am, a 15 minute warm up time and the race will begin at 8:30.  This will be a timed race, so run fast or run last….but the point is to have fun with our BASIS friends and family.  All BASIS Shavano students, faculty and staff that participate will be entered in a gift card drawing.  Let’s RUN with the DRAGONS! 

Medals will be awarded to the top three in each age group:
 
under 12, 13-19, 20-35, 36-50, 50+
 
WE WILL HAVE TWO RAFFLES ON THE DAY OF THE RACE.  YOU MUST BE A SHAVANO STUDENT OR FACULTY/STAFF AND PARTICIPATE TO ENTER.  The first raffle is for Shavano faculty and staff that participate in the 5k.  Staff/faculty  will be given a raffle ticket to be drawn at the end of the run.  Three gift cards will be raffled--$50, $35, and $15, so three chances to win.  Similarly for all BASIS Shavano students that participate, they will also be given a raffle ticket to win one of  three gift cards--$50, $35, and $15, also drawn at the end of the run.
