Early Bird -- through 6/9: $30
Regular -- through 7/1: $35
Last Chance -- 7/2 until Race Day: $40
Children 12 & under - $10, IF they race with a chip. Includes a t-shirt & finishers medal. Otherwise, FREE for children 12 & under with a paid adult - includes a finishers medal, but no chip, no shirt.
T-shirt & finishers medal guaranteed for ALL paid registrations completed by 10 p.m. June 21. After that we’ll do our best, but we can’t promise.
Awards:
Top 3 finishers, male & female: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over. Plus overall top 3 finishers, male and female.

Join us for a patriotic 5K that celebrates our nation's birth & the early settlers of Leon Valley. This 5K Fun Run/Walk takes in the neighborhoods of Leon Valley. Stroller & dog-friendly route! The 5K kicks off Leon Valley’s Star-Spangled 4th of July Parade, Festival & Fireworks Spectacular. Wear your patriotic colors! Prizes for best dressed! Come for the run, stay for more fun!
Proceeds benefit the Leon Valley Historical Society, which is currently raising funds to restore the Huebner-Onion Homestead & Stagecoach Stop on Bandera Road.

Getting Here: Please note that street closures in Leon Valley for the parade can impact your route. Arrive via Bandera Road, turn northeast on Poss Road, & Park in the Northwest Little League parking lot on Andres Salazar Street. Additional parking/shuttle to be announced if needed. That was Fun :)
Hola, Parking was great and a few meters from the staging area. The route was perfect, I was able to run most of the course during my warm up run. The route was well marked and well guarded by Leon Valley law enforcement. Also, the course was so very beautiful as it meandered through neighborhoods, recreational areas, Evers Rd, the park, and had an awesome home stretch for the finish back at Northwest Little League. It helped that it wasn't an out-and-back course-it was an overlapped circuit. It was fun to hear the cheers from homeowners watching the race from their front yards. Oh, and the deer along the park portion were awesome to encounter, I counted 12 along the course:) Results were quick and the awards were immediate. One just had to enter the bib number to know the time and updated ranking right away. The good folks at LVHS were unquestionably professional at all stages of putting on this event. From professional photographers to awesome warm up exercises led by Camp Gladiator everything went so very well. My hat goes off to everyone involved in organizing the race and I will definitely recommend it to friends and familia :) Sincerely, Oscar Roberto Castaneda

Great Family Event
The was a very well organized, well planned family event. Competitive as well as non-competative runners (me) were welcome, as were dogs and strollers. This is my new Independence Day tradition!
